A young team of athletes proudly represented their school at the Scottish Schools Aquathlon Championships in Falkirk this April, delivering outstanding performances. Olivia Lyne successfully defended her title, winning the S1/2 Girls' event, while her twin brother Charlie claimed victory in the S1/2 Open event—crowning them both National Schools Champions. S1 swimmers Evie Williams and Iona Quigley, competing in their first combined event, delivered impressive performances against a strong field. For the first time, the school also entered the mixed relay, open to S1–S6 students. The team—Olivia and Charlie (S2), Iona (S1), and Blake Herdman (S3)—showed remarkable determination and teamwork in both swimming and running. Despite being younger than many competitors, they triumphed, finishing as Scottish Schools Mixed Relay Champions and earning gold medals. This remarkable achievement highlights their talent, grit, and potential, and marks a huge milestone for the school in national-level aquathlon competition.
